Dimension tool options won't save
When using the dimension tool (beta) in the regular Illustrator program (latest update), I can't save my options. I can open the options window and change settings, but clicking "OK" does nothing. I have to cancel out to close the window in order to continue with my work. The tool will be great when it works correctly.

This was buggy a couple of versions ago, but I've had no trouble with this issue for a while. I'm on a Mac version 29.7.1. The only issue I have left with dimensions it the layer it auto creates will unhide itself when doing unrelated actions such as flipping elements on the artboard. We do a final flip so we export files both directions and it we end up accidentally exporting with the Dimensions layer showing.

It still seems that this problem has been lost....there was no "request" it was a bug, fault, problem whatever you want to call it, we're now in August and has no one experienced this?
It's happening on 2 machines in our studio... -
@darronboden1, I’ve split the original entry to detach the 'request' part of it from the 'bug report' part of it. 'One thing per entry', makes it acceptable for tracking, reviewing, fixing. Piling all eggs into one basket makes it unmanageable.
The request is marked as completed (because the major part of the functionality is there now), but the bug is obviously NOT fixed.
Alas, it seems to be finicky to reproduce, I personally can’t make it happen... Hope is still there to catch this bug. -
You've split this and ignored the real problem we get locked out and have to restart AI to be able to change the dimension tool scale.....It's not Allowing dimensions to be editable, It's the tool crashing when trying to change the scale. The problem occurs intermittently so I've no way to recreate the problem...

So frustrated to not be able to consistently adjust the scale of the dimension tool. I thought for sure on the last update, but nope.

January and still not resolved. Still getting locked out when trying to change options (scale in the main) and having to restart Illustrator to be able to change options.

It's December and this still has not been resolved....Are we any nearer a resolution?

It works as it should AI 28.5 MacOS Sonoma 14.1 on my MacBook Pro M3 Pro

Am I right thinking that you select some dimension objects, then press Enter (or click the gear button in the floating panel, or double-click the Dimension Tool button in the tool panel), and then try to edit some options in the dialog window, expecting these changes to apply to these dimensions you have selected?
As for the scale — there is a way to change the scale of these, so that all size are bigger or larger.
