Rethink Modal Dialogs
Here is a significant issue that many users, including myself, have encountered while using Adobe Illustrator—the frequent appearance of popups and modal dialog boxes. These interruptions disrupt the workflow and hinder productivity, which is highly frustrating and inappropriate for a professional design software.
While I understand the importance of notifications and updates, the current implementation of popups often feels intrusive and unnecessary. These interruptions not only break concentration but also obscure parts of the workspace, causing unnecessary delays in completing tasks. Complicated transformations that require detailed selections get ruined when you have to stop everything to click an OK button.
Not only are these dialogs annoying, they are also highly inefficient for things like settings. Specifically, settings that involve brushes or shapes (blob tool, paintbrush, pencil, eraser, spray tools, smooth tool) All of these built-in Illustrator tools need a way to continually adjust the settings with live preview without breaking workflow. If I am erasing some details around a shape, I would like to slowly decrease the brush size as I reach into a tight area. But because I have to endure a modal dialog box, I lose track of where I am at (since the dialog box covers what I am working on) and I have no reference for my brush size.
If you moved all alerts that were non-critical to a banner or side panel that didn't cover the workspace, that automatically collapsed, or was easily closable, it would improve the Illustrator experience 100 fold.
If you would put the settings for the tool in a dynamic panel that let you adjust the settings while you worked and see the effects of the adjustments, it would be revolutionary for Illustrator.
As a loyal user of Adobe Illustrator, I believe there are more user-friendly alternatives to delivering notifications and updates. For instance, utilizing non-intrusive banners or notifications within the application's interface would provide users with important information without disrupting their work.
I kindly request that the development team consider eliminating popups and modal dialog boxes wherever possible. Right now the Illustrator interface is so reminiscent of the Alert dialog that it feels like Windows 3.1. By eliminating popup spam (adds for Mockup or other new services that nobody asked for) and preventing modal dialogs while implementing a way to change settings in real time, you would bring Illustrator up to the 2000s, maybe even late 2010s. This change would greatly improve the user experience and demonstrate Adobe's commitment to enhancing productivity for its users.
NOTE: This is part of my request that Illustrator eliminate user error messages.

I often think many of the push notifications I see feel like they're trying to sell something instead of be of any help. This criticism goes far beyond Adobe and applies to many other software developers. It's as if the sales department and gang of "stock trader bros" are exerting an outsized influence on user interface design.
