    This issue (entire M1 McBook system freezes) is fixed for AI 25.0.1 and 25.1

    This fix takes effect in a day’s time, if you still face this entire system freeze then please follow the steps to update

    1). Backup your preferences and launch Illustrator with fresh preferences
    2). Quit and re-launch Illustrator once again
    3). Use Illustrator in your workflow

    If you see AI crash and entire system is not freezing then please create a new issue.

    I have been several times in touch with Adobe support and NONE of the technicians acknowledged the fact that Adobe Illustrator is not compatible at this point with the M1 chip. They kept telling me the problem was not Illustrator and that it should work just fine. This is getting really frustrating. I just can’t work on it right now and I won’t continue to pay for long. Does Adobe at least know when the update is going to be released?

    Same here. Very basic manipulations make the wheel spin (changing a shape, typing, etc.) and Illustrator shuts down.
