    This issue (entire M1 McBook system freezes) is fixed for AI 25.0.1 and 25.1

    This fix takes effect in a day’s time, if you still face this entire system freeze then please follow the steps to update

    1). Backup your preferences and launch Illustrator with fresh preferences
    2). Quit and re-launch Illustrator once again
    3). Use Illustrator in your workflow

    If you see AI crash and entire system is not freezing then please create a new issue.

    Picked up a new MacBook Pro M1 as my previous model unfortunately packed up. Since I have installed Illustrator 2021, my machine has been constantly crashing. InDesign and Photoshop work absolutely fine but Illustrator makes my entire system crash. I can't complete any of my work with this.

    The overall feedback from forums is to wait until an optimised version comes out but that simply isn't good enough, how can people be expected to wait until mid 2021 for an optimised version? Ridiculous.

    Is there a fix? I understand that these machines are new and normally I wouldn't purchase a first gen like this but I had very little choice.

    This needs to be fixed ASAP.
