1. I can't scale objects, neither with basic arrow tool, it feels like this one is the same of the white arrow.

   The problem got solved by enabling the bounding box back: View > Show Bounding Box (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+B)

   All of a sudden the selection tool stopped functioning and not letting resize any object. I have to change size in parameters from tools. I uninstalled illustrator once and installed it with latest version available.

   I am working on Mac OS Big Sur
