    As far as I can tell, it was my mistake. I was selecting the visible objects & scaling, which left the hidden objects behind.

    When I de-selected everything & selected the group node (actually the layer node in this case but I'm sure it works the same with the group node) everything scaled as expeced.

    Apologies for wasting everyone's time.

    If I have an image that's been placed & someone has stretched it in one direction or other, (for example 23.567% x 24.312%) I cannot fathom why I have to perform complex calculations with the scale tool rather than just type in new vaues into boxes the way I would in InDesign or Photoshop. Such a glaring omission makes absolutely no sense to me. (Having the "scale strokes & styles" checkbox as part of that would make extra good sense.)

    Why can't they just have a simple height & width percentage button like every other creative programme on the surface of the planet does? Including InDesign & Photoshop.

    Adobe can be quite baffling sometimes.
