Yea it's too bad the ESC key cant be programmed. I have the ESC key in use in Coreldraw. If im in text mode and hit esc, it returns to picktool. If im in a shape session, rectangle, I draw then hit ESC to go back to picktool. Essentially it toggles back & forth. I have over a 100 diff shortcuts on CD and find it invaluable. The F1 key is removed being I would hit it too many times and get help issues. I tried and tried to get Illustrator to look the same but cannot. I conflict alot in illustrator due to that. But hey, life goes on. As for the filled screen, wheres your shortcut for preview (Ctrl+Y ??)
Autohotkey looks to be a nice app.
You could also get one of those slimline programmable keypads. They work pretty good.
