    Thank you for helping, I went out somehow from the urge and days have passed. Now magically I see the "save for web" option where you say and honestly I don't remember if I looked for it in the wrong place at the time or if for some reason it wasn't active.
    I used EPS because I received an EPS.
    This doesn't eliminate my rant anyway, because I find that the interface is going towards getting less simple and things that were easy in the past have become difficult (opening some standard formats, etc). Computer science didn't get more complicated but simpler. Adobe software is in counter-trend, getting clunkier when the world around gets simpler.
