   I am having the same issue. Anytime I minimize the app and come back to it keyboard commands stop working. This really hinders my flow of work. As the others have pointed out, the only way to get around this is to close the app completely and re-open it.

   OS: 15.4 (19E241)
   Model: iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (5th generation)
   Keyboard Hardware: 0009
   Keyboard Firmware: 0241.0526.0200
   Illustrator Version 2.1
