  1. Illustrator will automatically convert color codes of shapes and vectors when a document of different color profile is imported.

    No one has addressed when this happens in LAB. I can make a spot color based on LAB, print the file, match it to a dE 1>. Then I cut and paste into a new file, and the SPOT COLOR changes from LAB to BOOK COLOR.
