    Illustrator team is working on a fix for this issue. Meanwhile you can use the below workaround to paste the table as it was before.


    Before you copy the table in InDesign, create a path object along with table and then copy from InDesign and Paste in Illustrator. This forces the PDF route for copy/paste between ID and AI

    Hello Rama,

    I noticed today that there was an InDesign update that outlined there were fixes for copy/pasting from InDesign into Illustrator. So, I updated my apps and tested it out. Keep in mind that we're creating tables in InDesign.

    I tested 3 different files with 3 tables, and everything worked great, but then the fourth and fifth just pasted as plain, unformatted text, with no format. There's nothing different about how any of the files are set up, so I'm not sure why some are working, but others are not.

    To Katherine, I didn't try the above workaround quite yet, but my manager and I self-diagnosed that it was an issue with IDD 2023, so we unstalled and went back to 2022 and pasting tables into AI works just fine!
