Adobe are quite frustrating when it comes to certain issues that remain for a long time. They push forward into innovative solutions while neglecting some functionality that should be part of the norm in a lot of cases.
Sometimes I wonder if they have reasons that align with paid add-ons/plug-ins. Perhaps they have ties with or deals with companies that make a lot of money making the software work more to its potential.
Take the Astute Graphics plug-in suite as an example. It is expensive but it is also really good & shows also, how simple the solution really is, when a team is developing with purpose.
I also think some of that is due to the running requirements of Illustrator without add-ons etc. Everyday computers get bogged down real quick when using high end add-ons, so perhaps there's a few reasons, these little irritating things remain like no .ico support.
With that said, could anyone tell me the safest & best add-on/plug-in (if it exists) to export/save as a .ico file?
