    Ah so removing text might be a workaround? I'll let my manager know. This bug is causing a huge issue in editing figures for his publication.

    Several years of publication figures -- all converted to AI when we switched to Adobe -- are now useless unless this bug is fixed.

    Illustrator can no longer open AI files exported from CorelDRAW. It says that it can only partially read the file and then opens a blank page. The layers contain something called a linked file, but that file is blank.
    This was working about 2 weeks ago. I have tried multiple versions and two different computers. I suspect today's update is the culprit, as it says it's made changes to layers.

    It CAN read a PDF from CorelDRAW but with no layer structure.

    OS is Win10, Illustrator is 29.1.

    I tried to attach a file, but the page refused to accept it.
