I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 30.4 which is available worldwide now.

I have been experiencing this issue over the last 3 days. Screenshots from a browser or another ai file, being pulled into a new or existing file. The screenshot disappears or is distorted before and after saving.
This is still an issue for me as well, but I have had success with rasterizing the screenshot after I drag it into Illustrator. Hope this helps!
