Similar to AutoCAD's Layer States. I am working from an AE firm perspective as a Planner/ Landscape Architect. We have older legacy illustrator files we are using to render/diagram and update ongoing campus level projects. Originally these files could been set up correctly to avoid the issue we face now...layer management is a problem. We are using the same file to develop site plans, existing conditions, demolition, existing and proposed site utilities, and construction phasing exhibits. From this one file, we are producing over 25 exhibits for a report. This is all being done by turning on and off layers to create each exhibit. If I could save a layer state for each exhibit, I could easily toggle the proposed waterline exhibit and have it pop up. If I miss turning a layer on/off.. it creates rework.
