    InDesign finally added this, though it's a little wonky.

    My solution is to temporarily set it to a spot color, then look at separations preview (turn all other colors off). If I still can't see it, it's generally a space in a text box. Select text and set to black. Not ideal...

    Going to explore the recolor artwork solution.
