   Ai allows to use Halftone effects via Effect -> Pixelate -> Color halftone.

   What specific cases are not solvable through the use of this?

   Totally agree, a built‑in vector halftone effect would be amazing! It’s such a useful feature for creative shading n print vibes. I’ve been experimenting with halftones using https://ditherimage.online/ — pretty handy for quick pixel or dot patterns till Illustrator adds something native
