Adobe needs it's long-time users to stay on board. There are cheaper alternatives with integrated AI for new users who have not grown up inculcated in the Adobe way; so dumping compulsory AI all over your key products is not going to attract those people to subscribe.
It would be sound business practice to listen to your long-time subscribers and give them respect, and autonomy, to enable these tools if they wish. Having no choice within Adobe, makes the bigger choice of leaving Adobe more attractive by the day.
