We have tried to fix the issue in the current release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in the update.

Adobe. Make It an Experience.PS: We are only referring to the issue that got introduced in CC 2018. As I can see there were few workflows that were existing even in older releases. Please log a separate request for it so that we all can track it better
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Karyn commentedI recently downloaded the Updated 2018 Illustrator, ever since then I cannot move artwork groups containing guides without adjusting them first.
I work in the sublimated apparel industry so most often these groups our the company's logo (less than 2x2") and the guides for the logo placement on the artwork.
Now when trying to move a group like this I receive the error pop-up saying "Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too large."
To remedy this I have to zoom all the way out and move the end points of the guides away from the edges of the work area so that I can move/rotate the group as needed. Even though Illustrator automatically makes the guides the entire height/width of the work area.
I have experienced frequently in the past a similar error message when trying to move clipping masks that contain artwork that would go outside the bounds of the work area (which is also insanely inconvenient), but I had never experienced it before when trying to move guides.
Is this an issue being worked on?
Please advise!
Also, why is it necessary to have a constrained work area?
Thank you!Karyn supported this idea ·
Adding that I have confirmed this issue is happening to all the users of our design team.
