   At the moment Ai does not support Color Swatches to assign artboard background color, and currently exporting a PNG doesn’t support respecting the color, as well as into some other file formats — but the team intends to add these.

   this is needed asap please... doing all white text designs is impossible with the default of white in edit mode. the workaround is to place a colored rectangle, then remove it on export.
