    We have tried to fix the issue in the current release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.

    PS: We are only referring to the issue that got introduced in CC 2018. As I can see there were few workflows that were existing even in older releases. Please log a separate request for it so that we all can track it better

    Hey guys, I had the same issue. I deleted all my guides and still it didn't work.
    A lot of times I don't create separate layers for my art boards and work off the same 'Layer 1'. Since it's saying it's a size issue I thought that there might be too much information in the one layer.

    So I moved all the artwork from one artboard and popped it into a new layer... and it worked.

    So yeah if you create multiple artboards and work from the one layer, try moving each artboard to it's own layer.
