I broke down and traded for a 15” MBP with dedicated graphics.

That doesn’t seem right. I have a 2016 15” base model with dedicated graphics card and it works flawlessly. I had this issue with a 2016 13” model before trading it for the 15” model. I thought the issue was with the integrated graphics card along with some older dedicated graphics cards.
