Hi friends! I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commented25.4 has an option to disable Trackpad Gestures. Do you have this version?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSCROLL DOWN. There's an option to turn off. Everything will be okay.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedScarlett, actually yes everyone does want this. Real simple, don't click the rotate tool. Problem solved.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYes, the blob brush is crashing my application also.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedTony, all great suggestions! I am thoroughly enjoying this rotation functionality!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedLike photoshop would be my preference.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSounds like you're on the wrong thread Marco. This is for us users who would benefit from art board rotation implemented for daily work flow.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHappy birthday Rotate Canvas Story! You're getting so big!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedAbsolutely. Nothing less than a full free rotation of the art board at any angle should be accepted.... Hence the name ILLUSTRATOR. Draw on paper and only rotate 90 degrees. Let us know how helpful that is.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHaha good one! Who's pretending to be Adobe?? I'll believe this when I see it.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHey Adobe, I felt like wasting some time to comment on this thread you've ignored for almost 3 years. I'm working on an illustration. I cannot rotate the artboard.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedAt this point I'll try anything. Affinity Designer here I come. Adobe wants us to rent their software and act like slum lords as they neglect some of the most sought after and NECESSARY feature requests. Unacceptable.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedAbsolutely. I actually have called to inquire about this and the customer service rep said "we'll be updating that feature request thread as soon as possible." Very similar to "We'll be picking it up shortly." Got it. Thanks Adobe.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis should be a default feature considering it's the "industry standard" illustration application. Affinity Designer has this currently implemented. Thanks Adobe, for keeping us updated on the status of this feature request. Your customer service SUCKS.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYes, I've also called to ask about this feature. If you have time to kill I highly recommend reaching out.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHahahahaha any updates! That's a good one. Adobe has ignored this thread since Nov 2017. Thanks Adobe!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedAbsolutely agree. They have no sense of urgency to implement art board rotation anytime soon. Affinity Designer already has this feature and at a much more competitive price point. Also running really good deals right now. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/designer/
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWe have to believe they are incapable of implementing this feature based on lack of updates or acknowledgment. Which is very concerning being that they are "industry standard". It goes to show exactly how they feel about their loyal customers who pay overpriced monthly subscriptions. Actions speak louder than words.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedPathetic.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commented"PICKING IT UP SHORTLY". Either you or I don't know how to define "shortly"....
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYou heard right. Affinity Designer has this feature. I recently made the switch. Wish I would have done it a lot sooner!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHaha thanks for the update Adobe! Always making customer service a priority! Affinity Designer ALREADY HAS THIS FEATURE
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commented"Picking it up shortly" should be Adobe's tagline. Just like "free beer tomorrow". We get it Adobe.
Affinity Designer already has this feature. Pathetic.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedNovember 21, 2017 "Picking it up shortly".
It's January 2020.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThat's weird, they have this feature currently in photoshop. Affinity designer is capable. Figure it out Adobe.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWhats up Adobe? You take the rest of the year off for holidays?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSeriously who cares about a mobile version of illustrator. It certainly shouldn't take priority over your desktop application! IMPLEMENT ROTATE ART BOARD
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHey Adobe I don't design on any mobile apps along with thousands of other designers. How are we forgetting the original client base that only uses desktop applications? And, if the desktop applications are going to be secondary focus how about decreasing the monthly rate vs raising it?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedLogos, packaging, illustrations, patterns, page layouts, typography..... ANYTHING....
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSimple question. Affinity Designer has this feature. Adobe Illustrator, considered to be "the industry standard" does not. WHY?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedJust looked up the top new features for the latest update to Illustrator.... Faster and quicker effects?? **** the effects and IMPLEMENT ARTBOARD ROTATION!!!!!!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commented***** it. I'm switching to Affinity Designer as we speak. Adobe hasn't responded in 3 years. We hear you Adobe. **** YOU TOO.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedShame on you Adobe. This should not be considered a feature but a NECESSITY
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedUNACCEPTABLE
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedGuys, no thanks to adobe there is a nice alternative solution.
https://github.com/creold/illustrator-scripts#artboardsrotatewithobjects-12However, I will be cancelling creative cloud at the end of the month and switching to Affinity Designer. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedCrickets since November 21, 2017! It's about to be 2020!!!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWOW they have time to censor comments but no updates on app features. This is Adobes customer service in a nutshell... Adobe your customer service SUCKS!!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedIt's fun not being able to rotate the art board. Not having this feature ads lots of unnecessary time while illustrating. Thanks Adobe.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedFor those who havent tried Affinity Designer yet. Free trial download available here
https://store.serif.com/en-us/checkout/?basket=f78e22c8d269a4e2b32e1c9fd585599abf7d4bff3f612aacAn error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commented"Industry standard" illustration app doesn't let you rotate the artboard. Mind-boggling. When you illustrate on paper you ROTATE to accommodate stroke angle & workflow. Please, everyone, share this thread.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSeriously! Your customer service SUCKS! Just purchased Affinity Designer. I will be cancelling my creative cloud subscription ASAP. The lack of follow up is ridiculous.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYou might not want to thank them in advance.. That's under the assumption they are working toward a solution. Pretty sure this got added to the "backlog" aka forget about it log.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedGreat question. Can we get a status update Ashutosh Chaturvedi? You have nearly 400 monthly paying customers asking for this. Try customer service for a change?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedShare this request with fellow users! We need this at #1
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis issue has the 3rd highest votes in feature requests yet zero updates in almost 2 years!!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedGreat customer service!!!
Anonymous supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedAn unbelievable hole in functionality. A totally believable sense of urgency from Adobe. Thanks Yogesh Sharma!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHaha that’s funny! Yog you wouldn’t leave us hanging would you brooo?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYeah, you have this feature on photoshop & indesign. Don't you think this might be helpful within an illustration app? DUUUHH
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedBenjamin, lets hope they add this feature before we're all dead
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedBrother Yog, you didn't forget about us loyal paying customers did you bro??
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedAye Yogestein! You ever try out that illustration on static paper?? I'll bet you're soooooooooooooooooo busy cracking this artboard rotation case you don't have time to respond. I noticed the latest update DOES NOT include artboard rotation. I'm SURE you didn't forget about us high paying customers AYE BROTHERR?!?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHey Yogster, I got one for you. Try illustrating on good old fashioned paper. One catch. You're not allowed to rotate the paper... Let us know what you think.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHey Yogmeister any updates bud? We rent your software by paying a monthly fee. So, consider me your tenant. I'll be sure to follow up regularly like I would a landlord.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWhat up yog? You still work for Adobe?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYou must be soooooooo busy AYE YOGEEE??
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHey Yogesh PAL!! Time to pick it up BUUUUDD!! Do some effing work
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWassup Yogi? You get around to picking it up shortly yet bud?? For anyone else tired of Adobe's lack of customer service check out this alternative software. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/ It has some really nice features and much more cost effective than Adobe's monthly subscription gauge.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWassup YOGESH it's been a year you still picking it up shortly bud??
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHaha okay Ben. You must be friends with Yogesh. 8 years for the 2nd highest requested feature is laughable. It's called abode "illustrator". When you illustrate on paper you rotate when necessary. Should have been implemented about 8 years ago IMO.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHi Yogesh!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHere's an idea... Hurry up!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedHey, Yogesh. How's that "picking it up shortly" coming along? You guys use that line around the office similar to the signs you see at local bars "free beer tomorrow"?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWould absolutely be a great feature. Lets just hope they implement it within our lifetime.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYogesh, it's been almost a year since we've heard "picking it up shortly"...

Maybe try restarting creative cloud app? It should be listed under updates.
