We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.

Ok, this red screen bug is driving me nuts. I understand you've fixed it in a pre-release build but that was 3 months ago and it's still not available in the standard release.
I appreciate that you can use the application frame to fix the issue but that is unworkable for me across a multi-screen environment, and having to cycle view modes every time I open an AI has long since passed becoming a joke. When you deal with incredibly complex AI files as I do, changing screen modes can sometimes take time even on a top spec machine. I am a graphics professional and this is a professional product for which I am paying a hefty monthly subscription. You are well aware of the issue so I do not understand how it has not been fixed as yet. Thank you.
