    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

    Could it be that this has finally been fixed!?!?!
    Seems to be working for me now in Illustrator CC 22.1, on a 2018 MacBook Pro, MacOS Mojave v10.14.4.

    I hope this is not just a fluke...

    I agree this needs to be fixed! A workaround I have found is to use Bridge to access File Info... I know it's a pain, but if you rely on the File Info panel, this will keep you from being dead in the water.
