You may read about this here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/saving-artwork.html#background_save
Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback.

In CC 2019 (latest update 23.0.1), at 100% Zoom 1inch artwork would display at 1inch in physical (Print) size, on any display. If this doesn’t work right for screen design workflows, please use the checkbox Preferences > General > Display Print Size at 100% Zoom, to turn off the feature. Currently this feature works only on primary display, and there are plans of extending this to other attached displays.

This would be genius if you can make it happen. I do all my own illustrating, and it would save TONS of time when I import into FrameMaker if I could work with illustrations that fit exactly into 42 picas!!

Even though it's not as ugly as PhotoShop, it would REALLY be nice to have this turned off. I work in a group of professionals, and this, er, 'dumb', screen makes me look like I'm goofing off.

Due to the need to maintain FrameMaker compatibility, I have to do Save As EPS. This adds hugely to the time required for a File Save.
I work in a highly secure environment, and due to our firewall s/w, Illustrator file saves can take as long as THREE MINUTES when in the office. When working remotely, they can take as long as SEVEN MINUTES!
This is time I'd rather be spending doing work, not sitting and twiddling my thumbs...
PLEASE.
HELP.
