Remove welcome messages
Please remove the welcome messages "Let's design great graphics today, ... " and "Start a new file fast". They are unnecessary and become annoying when you see them all the time. Besides, to me it is totally irritating when a computer program addresses me with my name and even more when it is not at all intended to make a conversation with.

Would be great if it would actually create the canvas size you want when you click it, instead of waiting for you to hunt around and find the "Create" button that is so far away visually. Even after several months of this approach it still catches me out.

Please, please, pretty please I beg you to remove the irritating 'Disney Shop' welcome: "Let's design great graphics today, [Whomever's name goes here]." It's in the category of naffness occupied by inspirational posters of the 80s and employee awards for random awsomeness but worse. It's telling me how to do my job in a backhanded way:
"Let's design great graphics today, [Whomever's name goes here]."
"Oh, wow, yes, I was going to knock out some crapola. Thank you so much for letting me know the error of my ways."
Please, please, please take it off. It's a daily irritation, bigger than the commute across town. -

Even though it's not as ugly as PhotoShop, it would REALLY be nice to have this turned off. I work in a group of professionals, and this, er, 'dumb', screen makes me look like I'm goofing off.
