We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3
You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.

We currently have (3) seats with Adobe and use the HotDoor plug in. It is ridiculously expensive. We have recently been seriously tossing around the idea of dropping Adobe for Corel because of this issue. This thread has been going for a long time now with no success or explanation from Adobe that I am aware of. Might just be time to move on.

It has been super buggy and causes the occasional crash. The time that it saves though is monumental, even with the issues. There has to be some other underlying issue as to why this has not been added? Then we cant even get a response from Adobe on this topic?? Im not wearing my foil hat yet, but what is the deal?? It just seams so simple... especially if Corel can do it??

I've been using Illustrator for well over 20 years now. There's no reason that a feature available in CorelDraw in the 90s shouldn't be easily worked into the software in 2020.

David your more than likely correct in your assumption. "Artists" who depend on those type of features in a program should start looking elsewhere. Its clear Adobe is not interested in making these type of mods to help them out. Thanks for pointing that out. It might just help some people move on.
