Hi friends! I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.

I wonder how many users (like me!) have now dropped Illustrator and are using Affinity over this and other issues? Not just the fact that the change hasn't been implemented, but NO RESPONSE from Adobe in over two years. I'm down to a Photoshop-only subscription, and if they raise the price there I'll drop that one too. Great work, Adobe!

I'm shocked that Adobe has time to censor USEFUL comments like the one that got sent out to us (LOL) but no time to even respond to a reasonable and important feature request in almost two years. They must be really confident that we can't break out of their ecosystem and we're on the hook month after month. Are we though..?

The ONLY reason I still have to use this outdated program is that I have a client that will only accept .ai files, and Affinity doesn't export in that format. But as soon as that job is over I'm dumping Illustrator. It's just too frustrating to have to work around numerous basic features that are lacking and NO support from Adobe.

This is really an unbelievable hole in what should be the basic functionality of a world-class app. Just adding a comment in case Adobe is still looking.

To take advantage of the freehand drawing tools available, full free rotation of the artboard is absolutely necessary. Artists have been fleeing to other apps for a while now for just this reason.
