   Hi friends! I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.

   I would also love to have this feature, but for another reason.
   We often print graphics for escalators and need to have them in three pieces to fit on our vinyl.
   Vertical tiling does not work for such a job, because the vinyl is not as big as it would be needed. Our RIP-Software is only able to rotate 90° or 180°.
   So at the moment I have to cut the file in Illustrator to 3 pieces and rotate the middle section to get it fit on our vinyl.
   So for us/me it does not depend on the view of the artboard, but the possibility to export an artboard (which can still be rectangular) in a specific angle.
   I would love to add an (virtual) artboard which defines an area to be exported in the angle I want.
