I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.4.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You are not going to believe it... something magical happened. After 8 years of waiting, the Magic Wand Tool is going to remember the settings between sessions — only in Beta for now, starting with 30.4.0.187
Please update, test, and comment back.
Also, while this is a long-awaited change, I suggest upvoting this large request about other great Magic Wand upgrades — it needs your votes.

Also back here after almost 2 years, wondering why this is still an issue. Please Adobe, help us out here! The world is a messed up enough place, without the tolerance setting being 32.

And maybe set the default tolerance setting to 0 while you're at it!

Totally agree with this post. Please please Adobe, remove the 'space + shift' key combi to activate this annoying feature.
