Issue still exists on Windows 10, NVidia RTX 2080ti Studio driver 471.11 and Adobe Illustrator version 25.3.1 (also on a separate Windows 10 PC with RTX3070)

Switching to Outline view immediately switches from GPU to CPU and greys out GPU preview. Switching back from Outline to Preview the GPU options remains grey.

However this is only in the Window that was switched to Outline view. So as a workaround, opening a new Window in the same document (Window >New Window) gives GPU functionality in that new Window and the original window can be closed. If I want to switch back and forth between Outline and Preview I can keep both Windows open and switch between them as only the window that has been switched to Outline loses the GPU functionality.

My vote would be to :
    1. Always embed the document profile.
    2. Offer a checkbox to override and convert to sRGB and Embed the sRGB profile instead.

A professional app should not leave users guessing the color space of an exported document.

I make an object and fill it using Freeform Gradient. Then I duplicate it, move it and select both objects. When I go to menu Object > Blend then the "Make" option is greyed. The same steps work fine with linear or radial gradients.

Note : Using Object >Expand Appearance shows "Non-Native Art" in the layers panel.
