Tried restarting etc. Lost an entire project, however, did drag the project to the library as a graphic and it saved there but only as a complete graphic so it isn't completely usable. (ei. layers not maintained). There was also NO autosave even though that is set to every 2 minutes. I also could not import anything via the place function but could "drag" the file onto the screen. PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!

This isn't a "Save" issue. This is a can't open the Mac finder window issue period. Any function in illustrator that requires this doesn't work. period. So, can't import a file, because can't open the finder window to choose it, Can't export, can save, save as etc. The PDF work around works because it is a different type of save that doesn't require the finder window. (its a script). Also, another works around I found for placing files is to drag them in, again, not utilizing the finder. So the question is, What other work around is there for "saving"? (don't say keyboard or bar- doesn't work).
