    Hi Everyone,

The fix has been rolled out and is available in our latest release build – 29.3.0 which is available worldwide now.

Now groups get the applied appearance positioned above the Contents in the Appearance panel.

    What’s new in 29.3: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/whats-new.html

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback.

    Hi all,
I'm working with AI CC 2020 on macOS Catalina.
My eyedropper tool is currently not able to change the color of a group. The selected swatch shows correctly in the swatch panel, but the group refuses to update to the newly selected color (example provided in attachement). If I ungroup the objects then select a new color with the eyedropper, or Direct Select > Select > Same Fill Color, the objects will change; but not when the objects are grouped together. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know a fix?
