   People who felt the need for this functionality :  Can you please highlight what is the underlying need/problem that you are trying to solve? Why you need to see swatches on your artboard / canvas?

   i still find this tool woefully lacking

   The new, "simplified" version of the Simplify Path tool either destroys my art or does absolutely nothing.

   Yes, i absolutely hate the new path simplify tool. If i use the lowest possible settings it mangles my art. Please fix this.
