Hi, I can sometimes copy / cut and paste in Illustrator, sometimes not. This has only been noticed in the last day or so. Could be tied to certain documents, unclear as of yet. I have tried copying (when it works) a document's contents into a new do, and the problem persists, which may indicate that there is a problem with some of the artwork?
When it doesn't want to copy it doesn't matter if I'm using keyboard shortcuts or the menu option, the copy operation does not work and the paste menu items remain greyed out. Very similar to the symptoms reported here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/copy-paste-command-not-working/td-p/13368238I'd class this as a critical bug, as it's affecting basic system functions. Copy and paste are working fine in all other apps tested.
Any help or guidance much appreciated, as this is seriously affecting my ability to deliver for clients.

The solution is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
PDF is now available as type in File > Export > Export As dialog.
However, File > Adobe PDF Presets menu, similar to one InDesign has, to allow even quicker export, is absent still.

Just updated to 26.1 and this issue has instantly returned. Rolled back to 26.0.3, unfortunately I didn't make a note of what version I was on before updating.
This seems to have solved the GPU preview issue, but rolling back has removed all my preferences and workspaces despite having the checkbox to preserve settings marked for updates.
I really don't like to complain in public forums but this is seriously frustrating as an issue from 2 years ago is still costing me work time.

25.4.1 Seems to have solved the issue for me.

Davescm's workaround is working for me while this is being worked on - if I go Window > New window then the new window GPU preview works. Then I can just close the previous window and carry on.
Not ideal, but it's saved a lot of time over closing/reopening documents or Illustrator itself.

This bug is back again for me.
Steps to repro:
Create new document
Add any kind of content (a single vertex will do)
Switch to Outline view - GPU is disabled
Switch back out of Outline view - GPU remains disabled
Saving and re-opening the document will re-enable GPU view, until outline is used again.Win 10

Same here - if I switch a document to outline mode GPU preview turns off and gets greyed out.
Closing and re-opening the document will re-enable GPU preview.
I can have multiple files open at the same time and this affects them on a case-by-case basis - e.g. only the files I've used outline view on lose GPU preview.

While attempting to move an existing guide (horizontal or vertical) with GPU preview turned on, the guide disappears until the mouse is released.
This makes it very difficult to move guides to new positions.
With CPU preview turned on the guide remains visible when being moved and behaves as expected.

Sadly, the recent accessibility improvements broke the way this feature works.
If it affected your workflow, please upvote this bug request:
Tab now shifts to toggle buttons in Layers Panel instead of renaming the next layer

Also, when I just quit Illustrator this message appeared in After Effects:
After Effects (Beta) error: could not parse mask shape on clipboard.
