   People who felt the need for this functionality :  Can you please highlight what is the underlying need/problem that you are trying to solve? Why you need to see swatches on your artboard / canvas?

   This just makes sense. It's an accommodation to how designers and artists are already working and want to work, similar to placing the sidewalks where people are already walking. It's a simple win all the way around.
