Adding multiple artboards at once
Why can't we add several artboard instead of manually adding one by one ?
As per the comment, the most accessible way to create multiple artboards is to draw multiple rectangles with required dimensions and positions, followed by the Convert To Artboards command.
There are multiple ways to create several rectangles fast: Transform Again command, an expanded blend, Split into Grid command.

omg, thanks dandid!!! This is actually so simple! I couldn't figure out how to align the new artboards with the old ones. This method is so easy! Yey! Finally! Why didn't I "ask google" earlier! :) :) :)

this truelly doesn't make sense. the only way to do it seems to create a new doc with multiple artboards and copy your stuff there. but it's a bit sad.

you can just draw a rectangle and copy paste repeat or drag (alt) copy and repeat transform multiple times then select them and 'convert to artboard' under the object menu.

If you're looking to add more than one artboard of the same size or even with duplicate content to make versions etc. you can make one, then hold alt and just drag to make new copies and place them where you want. You obviously have to have the artboard tool selected to do this, I use it all the time.
