For complex artboard setups: Artboard groups, folders, labels, hide/show toggles and other enhancements to the Artboards window
Currently the Artboards window lists all artboards in a single numbered list. The only customization available for the list is the ability to renumber the artboards. A helpful enhancement to consider: Add the ability to organize artboards list into nested groups and folders. For more complex situations, features like color coding with custom labels, and tags and filters could be helpful. To help de-clutter complex overlapping artboards, it would be helpful to be able to toggle the view on and off for artboards similar to how layers can be shown or hidden.

Yes! Just posted a similar (not nearly so well-articulated) feature request in the Adobe Support Community.

Was just googling if there was a way to do this. Would be super helpful for designing window graphics.

add the ability to group some artboards and give them a unique name to be easy to select them all and rearrange them in the drawing area easily

As I posted there, let us import csv files with the artboard info and config needed! Please!!!! Thanks in advance!
PS: Yes, scripting can get us halfway there, but scripting is a too complicated skill to learn just to rename artboards....

Artboards: Show, Hide and Lock. The same way layers can. for people laying out complex layouts in illustrator. I do complex murals and Vehicle Wraps and I tile out my Artboards manually. some times I adjust the Artboards but I don't want to delete prior ones as they may be a reference for measurements else where but the clutter up and confuse others. being able to show hide and Lock the art boards would be very helpful.

I'd also love to be able to select a grouping of artboards and duplicate them together. This would be especially helpful if you had overlapping artboards, where you want to duplicate the entire group in the same layout.

And/or use variable in the renamig:
- Artboard numbering (math function: start, step. Other numbering format: 1, 01, 001... )
- Artboard size in the name (Math function: *10, /10 or percentangle 10% 200% 25% etc)
- "User text"
- All Artboard, only selected artboard -

I'm fully in favor of this! I'm working on a project with 72 artboards (so far), and some form of grouping would be great!

Yes please! I would also love to see a batch renaming function along with this. It would be huge to my workflow to append a prefix or suffix to selected Artboards quickly. Along the same line would be a find and replace option for artboard names.
