Import/Export DXF AAMA/ASTM
In order to be able to work back and forth with Fashion Cad Softwares, it should be useful for Illustrator to handle AAMA or ASTM standard of DXF.
I guess that Artboards could act as "Blocks" in order to remain the Pattern names and the layer hierarchy of entities (for trace, cut, punch or text)

I'm at a stage where this is critical to my career. I have a workaround using CAD software program but it's time consuming. The pattern software I use does allow exporting to Illustrator but the patterns don't join sewing notches to the piece, whereas the CAD software does, but it also exports additional points that have to be deleted before it can be used. I'd be interested in any other workarounds, or best of all if Illustrator would be able to import a graded pattern file directly into Illustrator
