Properties panel lacks properties
CC 2018. Please include ALL properties for the selected object. Selecting a stroke should show ALL stroke properties (including cap, corner, dashed line etc).
And please don't put stuff behind the ellipsis icon (additional properties). Some of the additional properties menus duplicate the stuff in the panel itself, or don't even work.
If you want to make properties show by context, you need to make the dedicated panels obsolete!

Yes, I want to be able to see the Character Options without needing to click on the 3 dots to expand the options. I wish it customizable. Between the Properties Panel and the Control Bar (top), I still cant have the tools / setting I need immediately visible and I have to rely on palettes - which amount to clutter.

This panel is a downright half-baked attempt to re-establish clarity in this domain. But it becomes just another troublemaker. In fact, the Appearance panel (which almost no-one knows, understands, or values enough since Illustrator version 10) should have been renamed "Properties" (it could finally work out nice for this beauty).
I acknowledge the need for a central place to let novice users 'do simple stuff' (like Path operations and all), but naming it "Properties" and tossing just half of the kitchen sink in it (which half is a mystery), was an unwise decision. Call it "Quick Actions" or something they are more likely to relate to. Then it's also more obvious that more sophisticated features and options are still somewhere else to be found.

Got to be honest, what was the point of this feature? It doesn't help at all and creates more clutter by introducing yet another location fro changing properties. I think someone needs to step back and rethink this kind of addition. Definitely not an upgrade or a step forward.
