Please bring back Cmd/Ctrl + Opt/Alt + Enter to Transform values to make a proportionally constrained copy
Please bring back this “lost” features from earlier versions of Illustrator;
1) When holding down COMMAND (CMD) when entering a TRANSFORM value + ENTER, one used to scale proportionally, just as with activating the “link values” icon to the right, only without having to link and de-link all the time ...
2) I am sure the link is great for casual or more inexperienced users, but these key commands used to make my work so much faster. Also, holding down CMD + ALT used to make a new instance or copy with those new values, logical and consistent, somehow this feature was lost in more recent upgrades ...

Johan, I realized I never replied and never made your points into UV entries (and you forgot to share link to existing ones, so your readers could come here and upvote them!)
So here they are:
1. This one for the first entry in the article — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32683468
2. Make documents honor artboard settings when adding additional artboards — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49061279 (and I added you as a voter)
3. Allow for negative value input and Option click with Line Segment Tool — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49061297
4. Fix Gaussian Blur “clipping” — this clipping is controlled manually in Effect > Document Raster Effects Settings dialog, with Add Around Object value. There is an existing request, Calculate the bounds in Document Raster Effects Settings automatically —
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/46538296 (I add you there as a voter as well)
5. Enable drag-and-drop of properties in the appearance panel — I think this is a subset of another larger request, An ability to copy/paste appearance attributes / styles — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32115670
...but there is also a dedicated request for this as well, Ability to copy individual effects from the appearance panel to other objects — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33820210
6. A proposal to fix the mess that is Preferences > Units — oh, yes, I know this one, and have been advocating a similar (but different) treatment for years now. There are several similar requests, but yours one is large enough to be posted as it is — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49061354
7. Please address the Rotate Tool’s origin of rotation resetting on numeric Input — there is an existing report for that, Center of rotation changes position after rotating with a dialog — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/47677763 (rather unpopular) ...plus there is a rather popular request for An ability to permanently move the transformation center (pivot, anchor) when rotating, scaling, etc. — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31518439
8. Allow for fill and stroke to be set to “none” for multiple selected objects with different appearance — yes! It does not work in Tool panel, but works in Color panel, and works as a hotkey! I showcased it many times, but never reported here at UV... — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/49061402
9. The Reflect tool should also reflect stroke width — I also made it into a request, but generalized this as 'respect Use Preview Bounds' option, http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49061447
10. Add Round Butt cap option for strokes — now here, http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49061471 (and I show how to achieve this with a certain plugin).Articles on Medium, threads on X/Twitter — anything goes if it helps to upvote these. Vote count here helps a ton, UV is tool we can you to tilt the development.
Huge thanks for collecting these into one place.

Hi Egor, I published an article on Medium regarding the Illustrator UX. I have brought up every bug and annoying issues that I know of in the current (MacOs Desktop) version of Illustrator and describe how I wish they would work instead.
Including a proposal on how to improve Units of measure preferences (you mentioned this too below). I would appreciate if you had a read and maybe forwarded it to the developer team since you are an admin?

Yes, now I get the problem. Not sure when it got dropped though...
But here is the GIF from the CS.
Thank you for digging this out! I completely forgot about this behavior.
But I must admit though (but adding a vote), that if gets implemented back, this might look as a bug for users who do click descriptors just to select a corresponding field, but expect nothing more. -
jabuharvey commented
Perhaps i was not clear the first time out... the clicking of either of the descriptors works as you show in your GIF but i am referring to when you the dialog comes up and you want to enter NEW dimensions, not those held from previous operations...it it here that clicking and entering the width and the transferring the newly entered value (by way of a simple click on the height descriptor) fails.
If you have used the older versions of Adobe Illustrator you will know this shortcut and time-saver -
This is strange. I am on Windows and it DOES work for me.
See the GIF attached. -

please bring back the one-click duplicate entry for dialogs. This was available from version 8 through cs5. Make it a toggle in preferences.
for example if i wanted to make a square 100mm x 100mm i would select the rectangle tool (M) and then click once in the work area...the dialogue box would come up...I would then only have to enter 100mm into the width
then i would click on the height descriptor (not the white entry portion) and my dimension would be automatically duplicated in the entry portion of the height dimensionNew idea from comment
This comment was upgraded into a new idea: Restore a way to copy the value from another filed with a click on the input’s caption in dialogs -

OK, so NEITHER “Alt” (to make a copy) nor “Cmd” (to scale proportionally) works in the PROPERTIES > TRANSFORM fields. BUT Alt and Cmd work INDIVIDUALLY in the TRANSFORM floating window(?). How it should (and used to) be, is that they should all work COMBINED or INDIVIDUALLY across all TRANSFORM input fields (top bar (Essentials Classic), floating and properties panel). So that holding “Alt + Cmd” would scale proportionally AND make a copy/new instance of the object with the new PROPORTIONAL values (as if “link” icon checked). Just as it does when manually (arbitrary) dragging and scaling, holding “shift” + “Alt” ...

Another lost feature is that when entering a value numerically for any of the drawing tools (Ellipse, Rectangle, Polygon etc) clicking on the name of the next parameter would COPY that value to the second box. For example, If I wanted to make a 60mm wide square, I would select the tool (m) click where I wanted it and enter 60 in the ”Width:” cell, then just click on “Height:” and it would copy the other value. Now; nothing ...

Found AI9's 'cheat sheet'.
Shift+Enter: Apply value in field, keep field selected (amazing! and it doesn't work)
An yes, not Ctrl+Alt+Enter, but just Alt+Enter — AND IT WORKS :D -
I think this Ctrl+Alt+Enter feature can be partially recovered with Autohotkey+Javascript, but native one would be cool (again then).

@Egor 100% sure, in Adobe Illustrator 9 and earlier, not exactly sure when it disappeared since I haven’t always upgraded to each and every latest version. Feels like the original coder team retired and this feature was lost in the CC rehaul :-/

Local units is cool, but I still lack other units to be local, such as type and stroke.
I have both mm-mm-mm opened with px-px-px, and only rulers stay local when I switch between those. Are you sure Ctrl+Alt+Enter used to make a copy of an object right from the transform fields? Never heard of this, but I like this one. Voted.

BTW, thank you for making Units local (to each document), and not Global, a feature I requested a few years back.
