Export selected only
Would like to see an "EXPORT SELECTED ONLY" option, so that you can export just a selection of items from a file with many elements. Really a pain to have to copy the items I want to export, and paste them into a new file in order to export them.

try this one, it can export and crop ONLY artwork of each layer, no more copying to new file.

There is currently an 'Export Selection' function in Illustrator.

I don't understand.
Why don't you select what you want to export, then Select > Inverse (I even set Ctrl+Shift+I shortcut for consistency with Photoshop) and then hide everything you don't need? Why copy/pasting to new file?
Please explain more.
As for the feature — it's still nice, but not crucial.
