Convert outline text to editable text
I work with a lot of files that come to me with outline text, which I then have to retype from scratch. It would be a really useful feature if outline text could be converted to editable text - could there be some kind of auto-recognition (OCR) of the outline text and generate editable text from this? Built-in OCR?

Im always aligning typography within a specific part drawing I receive from Engineers etc. I would LOVE the opportunity to create outlines of my typography to properly align it with a part, then UNOUTLINE that same word to make it editable again. If you're able to outline a word why not be able to UNOUTLINE it? without having to copy it and paste it again... Would love to have this tool in Illustrator

I work in the design industry and it is quite annoying that after you have created an outline on a text and saved the document on adobe illustrator, you cannot undo the outline to edit, or find out the typeface/and type information (tracking, font size, kerning).
There needs to be a way to edit/undo the outline

When creating a user interface at my job in illustrator, aligning text and iconography is very important. It would be awesome if I were able to create a bunch of live text, create outlines of this text, and move and align text all over the art board then somehow, UN-OUTLINE all the text and make all the text that you aligned to be re-editable and live text.
This would be phenomenally useful.
