In Export for Screens save prefix, suffix, location, and other options per document
As a designer with multiple files,
I want the ability to set the export for screens folder per file,
So that I don't have to constantly relocate the location of the output for each file I open up. It would be helpful to get **** done.
- When exporting a file the location identified for the first time is saved for subsequent times I access to export.

I use this http://www.ericson.net/content/2011/06/export-illustrator-layers-andor-artboards-as-pngs-and-pdfs/
I would have prefered to use the one from adobe.... but this problem is so annoying

Currently, Illustrator does not remember where you saved your files last and always defaults to the folder that your source file is in. I would prefer if it were to remember export locations on a per-file basis.
Similarly, with Export for Screens, the prefix and suffix options should be part of the individual file's metadata, not set globally: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/51405022

Yeah. It's weird to me that this isn't recognized as a broken 101 workflow.

This is one of a number of similar requests here for improvements to export settings. I hope that this being a relatively new feature means it will get some attention from the engineers. Your second point would be partly addressed by having the export settings be saved with the file rather than being global.

This is a real nuisance and there are several threads here on the same or similar topic. I very much agree!

Yes. Export for Screens settings are global. They need to be per-file. It's really painful to have to change the file location and file settings when going back and forth between files. The assets within Export for Screens is on a per-file basis. The settings should be too.

I thought I was the only one. Thank you! Adobe, please get on this!
