Preview Mode
Like InDesign, incorporate a preview mode to show only the content inside of the artboard to see the final preview.

There are two separate commands that offer this, as stated in comments:
View > Trim View
View > Presentation Mode

I would like to see it like Photoshop so I can move one to the second monitor while I work on the drawing on the first monitor

This should be like opening a PDF in full screen mode and going through slide (art board) by slide (art board)
