Ability to create object clones
This idea is inspired in mograph features of Cinema4D.
It would be great to have an instance (or clone) of an object so that when you alter the shape of the source object, the clone alters automatically.
This would also be a powerful simmetry tool as well but much more flexible since you can position the clone wherever you want.
You would be able to clone it several times in a grid and alter all clones by fixing one single object (similar to what can today be achieved with Transform menu, but with much much more flexibility and control).
It would be nice to be able to randomize clones position in a grid array, and so forth.
We have SEVERAL excellent tools in 3D software which could IMMENSELY improve vector software usage as well.

Behrad, Illustrator today offers Global Edit, that would allow treating ordinary objects like symbols or clones, with a chosen tolerance and similarity options customizable. Have you tried it?

I would like to suggest adding a Clone feature similar to the one available in CorelDRAW.
This feature would allow designers to create linked copies of an object anywhere in a document, including across multiple artboards. Editing the original object—such as changing its color, shape, or appearance—would automatically update all linked copies while preserving their individual positions.
It would also be extremely useful to allow existing duplicated objects to be linked retroactively, without having to replace them with Symbols.
Although Illustrator offers Symbols, a direct Clone workflow would be faster and more intuitive for complex, multi-artboard design projects.
I believe this addition would significantly improve Illustrator's efficiency and usability.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Sigh. Another reason I miss using Corel Draw. It's had this feature forever.
Symbols is NOT the same.

It is called Symbols and it already exists.
