Student Discount for one month Free usage of Illustrator CC during Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis
I think it is reasonable that Adobe would consider helping students by providing free access to Adobe Illustrator whose universities have moved to online instruction due to the Coronavirus. It would be a generously kind gesture for Adobe to consider discounting or eliminating the $31. monthly fee during this crisis.
The software is provided in the classroom, and labs are open to students outside the class period for their use. Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education PASSHE stated that our Adobe CC license at Edinboro University does not permit student personal use for Adobe CC products. Some students are taking my entry-level Graphic Design Software Course to fulfill their Art Elective. They are ceramics, wood, sculpture, jewelry/metalsmithing students, as well as non-art majors such as psychology and communications take the course as a Free Elective. So the student annual rate would not apply to many of my students. Most of the students would not need the software other than the three weeks to month we will be away from campus.
Everyone is being effected globally, we can not incure more costs upon these students and their families.
Please help the students!

Thanks, Adobe for providing students free access to software to those Universities who use your product in the labs. This was a lifesaver for the students and demonstrates Adobe's commitment to education. We are in the process of setting up safety measures for fall in efforts to curtail spreading the coronavirus, which includes splitting the class size for social distancing, some students may work from home. This would require the students to have access to the software. I teach a software course (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) which includes Studio Arts Ceramics/Wood/Sculpture, etc students who will not need access to the software after the Fall semester. Your student plan is a $19.99 yearly contract. Would you please consider providing an affordable 15-week semester student contract? This would remedy the problem of students not having the software, and avoid paying a yearly contract for something they can't afford or need. So many businesses are being affected by this coronavirus...it would be a humble gesture to continue to show your support to the students. This sincere gesture from Adobe will tremendously help assist students learning experience as we continue to work through this pandemic.
