Export with Grid
I tried to search for how to export a document with the grid visible and found some results in Google, but couldn't apply any of them. Over an hour chatting with a Help Agent, I was told it can't be done. Why wouldn't there be an option to export/print with the grid on?
I've been learning how to do Floor Plans using Illustrator (since I already have Creative Cloud) and got reprimanded for handing in an assignment without a grid...imagine my frustration that it's not even an option AND that it took over an HOUR of chatting with someone to confirm this.
PLEASE allow exporting/printing with the grid an option easy to toggle on and off. This seems like it should be a basic feature.

So far one can replicate a grid they need with four lines and some basic appearances applied. There is nothing difficult about it and it allows greater flexibility than any built-it way can now offer.
Here is an example file attached.
Please open both Layers and Appearance panels to study the solution.Still it requires 6 operations to tweak :)

I recently downloaded the trial to see if Illustrator could be my solution to printing high-res TTRPG maps on wide format printers. Without printing the grid, this becomes virtually useless...I was really excited with the functionality at first & ready to commit for the year, but then with this feature being nonexistent I may have to look for other solutions.

It is absolutely unbelievable that this isn't an option. So much so that I also spend a long time on a floor plan layout to give to some contractors without even a second thought that I wouldn't be able to print the grid.
I just can't believe a "high end" app like this would not have such a simple useful option.
