Document unit preferences saved within AI file (type, dimensions, outline).
When working simulteaneously on artworks for web & print - you have to switch now units each time switching documents.
Often when preparing artwork for different outputs/purposes.
Usually/often (always?) unit preferences are DOCUMENT SPECIFIC.
